My name is Tahsincan Kose. I’m working as a freelance robotics software engineer. I use especially the term “robotics software” due to my sole CS background. In detail, I have never done a hardware design or made a build-from-scratch robot, despite having some closed-source side-projects that is exploring the hardware aspect of the domain as well.
Due to focus on software aspect of robotics, I don’t have any certain limitation for the projects that I can work in. Nowadays crafting rapid prototypes through simulation is the most essential pre-requisite of any robotics project, on which I claim to be substantially experienced. I have an every-day intimacy with Gazebo and MoveIt. Until now, I have worked in two UAV projects, one industrial manipulator project and one humanoid project involving real hardware. Aside these, I have worked in numerous small projects on varying degrees based on simulation only. During these works, I have gathered significant experience on Motion Planning (of mobile, flying and manipulator robots), SLAM, Mesh Networking, Multi-agent Cooperation and Object Detection. I see it redundant to enumerate the AI topics scattered in these domains, thus all of them requires a certain amount of AI algorithms to be employed (e.g. State Machines/Behavior Trees in Multi-agent Cooperation, numerous ML techniques in Object Detection etc.).
